IC Info
Name: Minamimoto Sho
Canon: The World Ends With You
Canon point: post-canon
Age: 18 going on batshit
Sex/Gender: Male/Genderless
Appearance: A six foot tall Japanese teenager in a nice coat, ragged jeans, boots, and a slightly tattered baseball cap over a red bandanna. He has black "tattoos" on his face that look like whiskers, his left arm has black "tattooing" up to the elbow, his eyes are golden, and he had fangs before he got infected with DOTES. He is usually smiling. His hair is a brownish shade of grey and is a little too long to be short and a little too short to be long. The hand on his left arm is completely black, including the fingernails. There are more "tattoos" covered by his clothing. Minamimoto wears a short-sleeved coat, but no shirt. He has an abstract pendant on a ball-chain necklace and three bracelets on his right wrist.
History: The youngest Game Master in Shibuya, at the age of 18, Sho is the main antagonist of Week 2 in TWEWY. He's addicted to math and math jokes, Joshua calls him a "deranged math fetishist" at one point in the game - and Joshua is TWEWY's god-figure. Sho is an expert leader in all areas except those relating to cooperation, a brilliant tactitian, and mostly damned by not being quite as powerful as he thinks he is. Choosing to go up aginst god probably has something to do with his failure as well. Sho can't resist a math joke, or to use mathematical termenology where it doesn't belong (calling Players "yoctogram" or "factoring hectopascals") and what little verbal coherence he shows seems to be nearly accidental. His plans are spot-on beautiful, but his interpersonal skills are limited to non-existant. He doesn't follow rules well, he doesn't report to his superior when directed, he doesn't follow guidelines worth a damn. His goal in unlife is to kill, and replace, the Composer (Joshusa) although the reason why is never actually stated. After attempting to take Joshua out using a level i flare, both Sho and Joshua disappear. It is later revealed that Sho uses a focus to turn himself into Taboo Noise and Joshua slips into an alternate world. At the end of the game, after a second battle, Minamimoto is seen crushed under a pile of soda machines and a car - however unlike all permanently killed people in TWEWY his body is still present rather than having disappeared.

Thus ends the information actually given on TWEWY wiki or in-game. The following is conjecture and personal fanon. Unlike other Reapers, Sho has portions of black on his skin which are refferred to as "corruption" and after he is killed the first time (by use of the level i flare) the black has spread significantly. Because of that my conjecture is that Sho has died multiple times before and this death, unlife, death thing is something that he's pretty used to. Reapers once were Players. In TWEWY the way for dead people to become Players is to put up "whatever is most important to (you)" as a wager. If you win, you get it back. For the main character this starts with his memories, and in week 2 is his best friend. Considering that Sho, in addition to his corruption, shows yellow eyes, fangs, and small claws I go with the idea that his wager was his humanity; the part of people that allow us to see others as having value. Based on the actions of Players during TWEWY, I also assume that he knows he's missing something, he just can't get it back. This allows me to have him interact with and develop genuine feelings for other characters. Given Sho's unique way of speaking, I also assume that dying and being brought back screw with your head. This is my rational for how to deal with his complete lack of history beyond what happens in the game: he flat out can't remember because his memories don't come back entirely when he does.
Personality: He's a cheerful megalomaniacal sociopathic mathematical genius with psychotic tendencies, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and a maths fetish. He's arrogant as hell, and smart enough not to show it most of the time. He'll happily play with people's heads until he's bored and then might or might not hurt them physically...or he'll just drape over them and demand pettings. Basically he was a cat before DOTES.
Powers: Ability to move between phases of reality (neutered - will not be regained), hyperactive healing through absorbtion of negative emotions (Noise), ability to exist exclusively on Noise for great amounts of time, ability to eat regular food forever without gaining so much as an ounce, teleportation (nerfed to within ten feet of himself), ability to throw energy bolts, technically he's dead or undead or reundead or something of the sort so he's really hard to hurt (3141HP) in normal form leading toooo...he's got an alternate form Leo Cantus which he won't be able to do anything with until he's been upgraded which is even tougher (5926HP). He cannot be struck by any attack which is not an area of attack.
DOTES animal: Cat (Oriental Shorthair)
Sample post:
It's an ordinary day in the infirmary closet. The boxes are nicely aligned where they...be...long? Or, no. No they aren't. Sho's tail waves in sinuous curves as he finishes his careful reorganisation of the supply closet; everything is now helpfully arranged by the number of items per unit (1 Ace bandage before 50 count tongue depressor) and within those categories alphabetically by last letter (50 count tongue depressoR before 50 band-aidS).

As is actually ordinary, for Sho, he is cheerfully singing the digits of Pi to the tune of the Irish Washer Woman, he's somewhere around the seventh hundred digit and going strong. All down the hall can be found scenes of his helpful nature: library books reshelved by the hex-colour of the dominant colour on the spine, food arranged into precariously balanced towers of edibles, people's random objects turned into works of what he swears are art.

Yup. Pretty average day.
